What to do if chlorides have come in to contact with stainless?

Ensure you clean the area that has been in contact with the chloride based product with warm warm and a mild detergent.  This tends to happen where a floor is being mopped and the head of the mop has skirted across the bottom of the appliance.  Rinse out the cloth and re-wipe to clear away the detergent.

Chloride based product used for cleaning stainless steel, including disinfectants, stain removers, rust removers and immersion cleaners should not be used.
